How often should I change PowerHeal® Bioelectric Bandage?Updated 7 months ago
Bandages should be changed based on the condition of your wound and the surrounding skin. For example, if you have a lot of drainage coming from your wound, you may need to change it once or twice a day, especially in the early stages of healing. As your wound progresses in its healing, it is typical to see less and less drainage. Once drainage slows down or stops, you may want to change your bandage every 2 to 3 days. The maximum amount of time PowerHeal® Bioelectric Bandage may be left in place without changing it is 7 days.
Remember to always wash your hands with soap and water both before and after dressing changes, to reduce the risk of infection. If you're caring for someone else's wound, consider also wearing disposable gloves to reduce risk of infection or blood borne disease transmission.
