How do I keep the PowerHeal® Bioelectric Bandage with No Adhesive (green box) in place?Updated 8 months ago
- If your wound is draining, select an absorbent gauze pad to place on top of PowerHeal® Bioelectric Bandage.
- Next, select a method to keep your PowerHeal® Bioelectric Bandage in place. Some examples include self-adherent wraps, gauze wraps or rolls, and gentle adhesives or tapes.*
- These items are readily available online and in stores.
* Remember that some of these coverings do not help prevent moisture loss like an adhesive covering does, so it will be important to monitor your wound and PowerHeal® Bioelectric Bandage for moisture maintenance. If you notice that the bandage or your wound is drying out between bandage changes, you may consider: adding a more liberal amount of Energel® Wound Hydrogel at bandage changes, or adding a small amount of moisture (like sterile saline or water) periodically to the absorbent pad in between bandage changes.
